South Africa is one of the top ten wine producing nations in the world. Originally settled by the Dutch back in the 17th century, the country produces some terrific wines at incredible prices. Visiting Stellenbosch reminds us of California's Central Coast, with rolling, green hills and limited development. We visited a restaurant with the world's largest wine-by-the-glass program, too. Check out this refreshing Chenin Blanc (called Steen in SA) from eco-friendly producer Protea, shown at right. Cheers & L'Chayim.
