Golan Heights Winery, Israel’s leading producer of quality wines was established in 1983 by four kibbutzim and four moshavim (cooperative communities). From its founding until today, the Winery has made its mark and expanded its influence on the Israeli wine world. Its establishment changed the local wine map and shaped the perception of wine quality in the mind of the Israeli consumer.

Named for the highest peak in Israel in northern Golan Heights, Mount Hermon wines over-deliver on quality, flavor and affordability. Golan Heights’ cooler climate, rocky volcanic soil, and high altitude are ideal grape growing conditions.

Mount Hermon Red features bright red and black fruit notes, along with attractive hints of herbs, earth, orange peel and spice. With medium body, this blended wine (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec is flavorful and complex.

Ready to drink upon release, Mount Hermon Red will stay in good drinking condition for some three years from vintage. We enjoy serving this versatile wine with a good hamburger, grilled lamb skewers, or garlic mushroom fondue.
