Goose Bay’s approach to winemaking is rather simple. Goose Bay’s winemakers also don’t believe in building a winery business by constantly talking about how great they are. They are in the business because they love the life… the viticulture, the winemaking, the marketing and the people they work with and meet.
Winemaker Jules Randell joined the staff in June of 2011 as Associate Winemaker working with owner Matt Rutherford. After obtaining a BS in Oenology he has had significant experience as a winemaker at a number of Australian wineries. and after three years he has now taken the position as Head Winemaker. Jules has earned this position.
The 2023 South Island Pinot Grigio is a crisp, fruity Pinot Grigio that will surprise your taste buds. Pear and spice flavors are very evident in this wine. Clone 2-21 & CL2-15.
Serve as an apéretif, or pair with foie-gras, white meat, chicken, spicy food, curry lamb, as well as South Asian cuisines, such as Thai, Indian, and Chinese.
