He chose To Kalon Vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley as the home for Robert Mondavi Winery. This first-growth vineyard, located in Oakville, California, is renowned for producing some of the finest wines in the world.
The 2019 Pinot Noir is bright and expressive, with a zip of acid balanced by lovely flavors of plum and earth. Juicy, lifted and energetic, each sip encourages another.
On the nose you’ll detect aromas of black cherry & tart red cherry. On the palate you’ll taste hints of violets, along with dried leaves and just a touch of toasty oak. 90 Points: Wilfred Wong.
