2021 Edetària via Edetana Garnatxa Blanca Terra Alta DO

Edetària is named after “Via Edetana”, a former “Via Romana” that stretched between Torotosa and Zaragoza. Edetària produces authentic wines with indigenous grapes, searching the purest soil expression, and restoring old vines value thanks to organic winemaking. Edetària is located in Gandesa, in the central area of Terra Alta. Local economy is based on agriculture, including almonds, olive oil, and of course, winemaking.

The ’21 Edetana is made with 100% Garnacha Blanca from  old vines in “tapàs” and “panal” terroirs. Each plot is fermented separately, followed by assemblage, meaning half the wine is aged in 500 liter French oak for 4 months, and the other half of the wine ages on its lees in tank, in order to achieve the highest varietal expression.

On the palate the wine is powerful and lush. The wine is beautifully balanced, both creamy and extremely fresh, with a wonderfully elegant mineral finish. 93 Points Wine Enthusiast!
